Hi, we are thinking of hopping on a bus straight after landing in Vientiane as we arrive early morning. Do you know where we should head to for the bus? And how much would it cost from the airport to wherever the bus stop is? Or maybe there is a stop the airport? Thanks

You’ll want the Northern Bus Station in Vientiane to get to Vang Vieng – its about 7km from the airport (grab a tuktuk if the bus times work for you), buses to Vang Vieng from Vientiane tend to go in the morning – and the Naluang service is the one that goes from the Northern bus Station. The other services then to go from the city center. There’s also a bus at 1:30pm, but obviously all this depends on your flight time. Best of luck and do let me know how you get on! Sarah

Hi, which would be most convenient if we want to catch the bus upon arriving at the airport in Vientiane? Would we be able to just buy a ticket at the bus station? And may I know which bus station does the bus leave from in vientiane?
