Hello there. There are usually lots more ferries during the high season (December is in the high season). I'd advise checking 12goAsia, plus busonlineticket or bookaway - as sometimes there are different availabilities on each of the different sites. Let me know how you go!

99% likely that the High Season boat will be running, it has done it this way for years. High season starts in October, and online booking of the boats usually doesn't start to become available until about a month before ticket availaiblity. SO I'd check in mid October to see the boats available. Let me know how you get on!

Hello there (we booked our tickets at an agency in Krabi, but things are in a bit of flux with Thailand-Malaysia ferries at the moment and have not yet settled down with pandemic related changes. As of now there's one ferry a day from Satun (Tammalung pier) to Langkawi and its going at 11:30am. You should be able to book it at https://www.thailandferrybooking.com/ - They also have a messaging service there too, so you can check the time.

In terms of buses from Krabi to Satun - its at least a 5 hour trip. Shared vans ONLY run if there's enough people, and there's currently no online booking. I don't believe that you're going to be able to get a bus from the bus station in Krabi in time to get to the pier to catch the ferry. So you have, I think, two options 1) fly to Langkawi (more certain), 2) get a bus from Krabi to Satun and spend the night there and catch the ferry the next day.

Sorry its not better news, but please do let me know how you get on! Sarah

Hi there! I would like to go from Krabi to Satun on the 16th of February. I have some concerns and I am starting to get worried. My plan was to catch a bus from Krabi to Satun and from Satun to Langkawi. In the past I have seen that there is more bus rides that go there, but now I can't find any online. Can you please help me with that. I would like Toby it in advance to make sure we have a place on the bus. Also the ferry from Satun to Langkawi only goes twice a day and I tried to call them to make a reservation but I couldn't reach them and they do not have an online platform.
How did you buy your tickets? Can you help me please?
Thank you for your kind help in advance!!
